There are a few errors in the book I’d like to correct here; no excuses, but I hope these post-publication edits will help if you’ve had any issues with a recipe (also: sorry!):
For the Hazelnut Cake 1/2 cup hazelnut paste should be 130g, not 225g; 1 3/4 cups hazelnut paste should be 345g, not 370g; and 2 cups roasted and skinned hazelnuts should be 340g, not 225g.
For the Pear-Chocolate Cake: 3/4 cup sugar should be 155g not 85g.
For the Chocolate Brownies: 1/2 cup butter should be 115g not 155g.
For the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies: 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar should be 312g not 150g.
Hi Aimee – I’m sorry I’m just seeing this now. Thank you so, so much for your kind words! I am so thrilled you have loved my book and it is heartwarming to know you use it so much. Again, thank you so much for reaching out!
We have had this book for many years and it is FULL of sticky notes and notes and is one of the most beat up cookbooks we have – high praise for any cookbook. :) We have made a ton of the recipes. My husband’s birthday cake is layers of the almond cake and chocolate cake with ganache for frosting. The peanut butter cookie is an absolute favorite of everyone I know. People are always stunned it’s GF. I should note, I have made many mistakes with that – forgot the egg once, forgot the baking soda once, have forgotten the salt – and they have all turned out okay. Ha! :)
I have also purchased this book as a gift for every GF person in my life that bakes… maybe close to a half dozen copies now. I’m on the hunt for another copy now as my sister was just diagnosed with celiacs. I would like to be first in line for any additional GF books you do, as the recipes are so great! Thank you! :)
Hi Nicole,
Love the book so far, and have just made the apple tea cake with maple glaze. I ended having way too many apples (sliced them about 1/8” thick), so was wondering if I should have double/triple layered the apples or sliced them thicker. Otherwise – super easy process and the cake looks lovely (hoping it tastes as good as it looks as I’m bringing it to a work event). Thanks for the inspiring recipes.
Hi,
I purchased your book through amazon and I love it!!! I find that bread recipes that are naturally flourless taste more like bread than using ‘gluten free flour’ from a box. Those taste starchy. I have already baked a few and have all been kid approved! Keep up the good work! I will be trying the polenta pizza crust and cinnamon rolls from your website next.
hugs,
tanya
